AERO GP air race goes LIVE online with Airsports.tv

Nicknamed the 'Formula One of aviation'; the Aero GP air race series (www.aero-gp.com) will be broadcast live online on 30-31 January 2009 to air racing fans worldwide at Airsports.tv (www.airsports.tv)

The live broadcast comes as part of a celebration of the centenary of air racing and the Aero GP's debut in the Middle East. The Aero GP will be the first competitive multiple airplane race of it's kind in the region and the main event of the prestigious Al Ain Aerobatic Show. Both spectacular events will be broadcast LIVE on 30 – 31 January 2009 on the new online TV channel, Airsports.tv.

Airsports.tv broadcasts features of top-level air sports competitions worldwide and is fast becoming a focal point for the air sports community.

Viewers who tune in will see all aspects of the Aero GP events with live commentary including:

1. Pylon Air Race – Five aircraft racing simultaneously around a tight circuit, 20 feet off the ground at at speeds of up to 500kph.

2. Dog Fighting – Two pilots compete head-to-head in a battle for air supremacy in an air combat round

3. Target Bombing – As part of the 'Barnstorming' round pilots will perform various aerobatic stunts and compete in a real target bombing competition.

The impressive line up of world-class pilots includes: Richard 'Smokey' Young, Andy Bickmore, Zoltan Veres, Gerald Cooper and Mark Jefferies.
