A "Nifty" Way to Watch the Barksdale Air Show from AviationBull - Where pilots go to shoot the bull... by Jason - If you weren't in Shreveport last weekend, then you missed out on some great acts and static displays at Barksdale Air Force Base's Defenders of Liberty Open House. Some of the acts include a P-47/B-17 duo, the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team in their gorgeous T-6s and a MiG-17 that I can't get enough of. Oh yeah, they also had those "other" guys who fly blue jets out of Pensacola.

The History Channel "Shockwave" interview about Wayne Handley's airshow crash from Keith Breazeal Video Productions - by keith - I had my turn in the "hot seat" for the History Channel program "Shockwave". The show was about Wayne Handley's airshow crash in the Turbo-Raven and how he survived the horrific crash landing. At the 1999 California International Airshow, Wayne's Saturday performance was perfect and a great crowd pleaser. On Sunday, Wayne experienced an engine failure below bailout altitude and was left with no choice but to fly the Turbo-Raven into the ground.

Biggin Hill is often remembered as "Biggin on the Bump" because of the hump in the middle of its original grass airfield. It was established as a RAF testing station in 1915 and has become an international jet port. Biggin has served up some of the finest air displays in British aviation history. The fact
