A fresh, new look for a classic film
In 2003 The Restorers was released, changing the world of aviation filmmaking. This one-hour documentary film displayed the untold stories of warbird and vintage aircraft restorers. Now the film is back, better than ever, for its 10th anniversary.
Time has taken its toll on The Restorers. While the documentary was shot on film, this will be the first time it can be scene in HD. With a 2K film-to-digital transfer and a fresh sound mix The Restorers has to be seen, and heard, again...for the first time.
The Restorers was initially released in 2003 by Hemlock Films. The film aired in 2004 nationally on PBS and on Discovery Wings Europe.
The Restorers also won a regional Emmy award in 2003 for Best Special Program.
Hemlock Films is now engaged in efforts to turn the film The Restorers into a national television series also titled The Restorers.
Hemlock Films is located in Cleveland, Ohio. Hemlock is a full-service production company, specializing in aviation-related material; documentaries, commercials and aerial cinematography.
