In front of a C-47 painted to represent the airplane Lt. Haus flew during WWII, “DO IT”. Please join us at Grissom Air Museum and help honor Jim Haus.   ||  THE WARBIRD RESCUE FOUNDATION (A LOCAL INDIANA 501C3 NON-PROFIT) IS HONORING LEUITENANT JIM HAUS THIS FRIDAY AT THE GRISSOM AIR MUSEUM IN PERU, INDIANA. LT. HAUS, A WWII PILOT WHO FLEW C-47’S DURING THE WWII, WILL TRAVEL FROM PENNSILVANIA WITH HIS FAMILY FOR THE BIG EVENT. ONE OF MR. HAUS’S RELATIVES, WHO IS CURRENTLY SERVING IN IRAQ, WILL ALSO BE ATTENDING THE AIRCRAFT UNVELING. DURING THE CEREMONY A WWII P-51 MUSTANG AND TWO AT-6 TEXAN AIRCRAFT WILL OVER FLY THE EVENT TO HELP PAY TRIBUTE TO NOT ONLY MR. HAUS BUT ALL VETERANS. THE EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. THE GRISSOM AIR MUSEUM IS PLANNING TO HAVE HOT DOGS AND HAMBURGERS ON THE GRILL AFTER THE CEREMONY.
