Bill Reesman's MiG-17F "MiG Magic" Airshow - from
Keith Breazeal Video Productions - by keith - Bill Reesman's "MiG Magic" was one of the most popular airshow acts in the mid to late '90s. The MiG-15 was re-designed to be supersonic by extending the fuselage four feet, adding an afterburner, and sweeping the wings back ten more degrees to forty-five degrees. The result was the MiG-17 capable of Mach 1.2 or 714 mph. The MiG-17 was also a much more stable aircraft and capable of tighter turning in air-to-air combat. Bill had a lot of respect for the MiG-17 when he flew the F-100 for 320 missions in Vietnam.

Sun N Fun next weekend (4-8/4-13) Should be another good event. Food is decent and there's plenty of vintage and modern day aircraft out there. They had a F22A Raptor demo there a couple years back while there was no demo at AirFest. Plus with the MacDill Airshow looking like it's going to blow, you can check out the Thunderbirds at the Sun n Fun. The air show at MacDill will feature the snow birds, the Canadian version of our precision flight teams. At any rate, if you're looking for something to do, check it out....especial
