Mich. teens get to experience the thrill of aviation from Headline News - Civil Air Patrol | MICHIGAN -- Eight area teens experienced the thrill of aviation, through orientation flights with Civil Air Patrol at Abrams Municipal Airport in Grand Ledge. The cadets’ hour-long flights in single-engine Cessna aircraft introduced the cadets to the science that makes flight possible. They learned about navigation, weather, aircraft instruments, flight maneuvers, and more. While aloft, the cadets got to handle the controls, during the non-critical stages of the flight.
