Ghost Rider TV -  PFLUGERVILLE, TX – NOVEMBER 7, 2011 –  You’ve seen enough TV shows to know what it’s like when the fire station gets a call, and the firefighters jump into action to fight a fire, or respond to a medical situation.  What happens when that call comes in the middle of a war zone?  Chief Warrant Officer 2, Bryan Lee is currently deployed in Afghanistan and put together a video that shows just that.  Bryan is the son of LiveAirShowTV’s President Jeff Lee, and when he is Stateside serves as a field producer and Military Liason.
In a “dramatization”, the crew takes us through being awakened with the call, to heading out to their UH-60 Blackhawk, pre-flight, engine start, and flying to the scene.  “It’s pretty much what we do every single day”, said Lee.  “We fly Med-Chase, which means we are the escort of the Med-Evac aircraft.  We’ve had some interesting flights, but I can’t really give you the details.”
CW2 Lee has over 500 combat hours in the Blackhawk and is on his 3rd deployment.  He is flying as Pilot-in-Command on this mission as he does on many others.  His unit the 3-227 Ghostriders is part of the 1st Air Cavalry out of Fort Hood, TX.

CoolPix Triple Play: Douglas XB-43 And YB-43 Jetmaster from AirPigz | I'm fascinated by 'unusual' thinking, especially as it relates to aircraft design. Last January when I had an AirPigz meetup at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force (Air Force Museum) in Dayton, Ohio, I made the extra effort to take the behind-the-scenes tour in the museum's restoration facilities (note: it's free, space is limited, reservations are required, and they only run on Fridays.) Wow, what an amazing experience...

One Way In, One Way Out | Movie Monday
from Leaving Terra Firma by Matt Everett | ... These clips feature an approach, landing and take-off at a Forest Service strip in the Idaho known as Cabin Creek USFS (I08). As you can see in the video, Cabin Creek is pretty much a one way in, one way out airstrip. There is no way you’d be able to out-fly the terrain since it is right up against a very steep hill. If you’re lucky, you might manage to turn out over the trees, but there isn’t really a viable option for a go-around...
