(kinda long at 28:46 - but worth every single second)
There's a 'line' in this life that sadly most people never cross.  It's kinda hard to define, but it's a line of passion - and when it's crossed, it puts you on the side of really being 'alive' on this earth.  There are many things that can take you over that line, and interestingly, flying is one of the most effective.
This video has the power to help those who never knew that line was out there to possibly see it for the first time.  It also can take those who've been there before to once again feel alive.  And if you're already living everyday on the good side of that line, this film is more fuel on the fire.
It's world-class cinematography used to tell the story of a World War II pilot, his family, a P-51, and how they all grew much closer together. ...

Plymouth pilot Bob Trinque, 72, has been flying so long he no longer counts the hours. A retired Delta airline pilot, Bob still flies weekly taking his 1953 Beech Expeditor for flights with old friends for breakfast on weekends. The plane, painted in pre-World War II colors, is nicknamed "Chow-Hound." ...
If Robert Trinque were to write a book about his years as a pilot, he'd title it "Full Circle," he said. Trinque, 72, started flying while running the line operation for the Cape and the Islands Flight Service. He greeted and serviced planes and co-piloted for his boss, who had three Beechcraft C-45s. Fifty years later, with more than 23,000 hours of air time logged, Trinque is well-known around Plymouth Airport. His hallmark: a Beechcraft C-45 – his own. He calls it the Chowhound ...

... Researchers plan to flight-test a one-third-scale version of an electric-powered, tail-sitting, vertical-takeoff-and-landing single-person aircraft called the Puffin.
The concept, unveiled by a NASA-led team at the American Helicopter Society (AHS) aeromechanics conference in San Francisco in January, forms the basis of a potential electric-power technology testbed rather than a vehicle design. The preliminary concept blends the range, speed and altitude capabilities of a fixed-wing aircraft with the hovering ability of a helicopter. Like previous tail-sitter designs, it can also transition between vertical and horizontal flight without the complexity of tilting wings or engines.

Aviation Photography from Abacus Blog
I've had a love affair with photography for almost 50 years.
For me, this began when Dad would pull out his large twin lens reflex camera, usually around a holiday, birthday or family event. As a youngster, I recall watching him bury his eye in the lens hood, his hand to the knurled knob on the side and see the bellows move back and forth as he zeroed in on his focus. Then he'd snap and the shot would be done. We'd wait weeks, sometimes months, to see the results. After all, a full roll of film had room for 12 negatives! ...
