Wide Bay Australia International Airshow 2011 Launched Into Action

The Wide Bay Australia International Airshow launch was an exciting reminder that in
less than a year the skies of Bundaberg will ignite with a new style of aviation spectacular.
Barnstorming Bundaberg was revealed at the launch with the 2011 Wide Bay Australia
International Airshow stepping back in time and rediscovering the origin of the air show.

Barnstorming is the first major form of civil aviation spectacular in the history of flight
and the origin of the modern day air show.

“The launch of Barnstorming Bundaberg brings new excitement to our air program and in
2011 the spectacular tricks and stunts will entertain and enthral the crowd” said Mr Peter
Tuffield, Chairman, Wide Bay Australia International Airshow Board.

Matt Hall, Australian Red Bull Air Racer, was guest speaker at the launch where he also
announced the Wide Bay Australia International Airshow as the first confirmed item on
his 2011 schedule. The addition of Matt brings a world class component to the flying
program. Matt spends a significant amount of his aerobatic flying working on his high
energy display flying and is looking forward to performing this new style of "freestyle"
flying as part of the 2011 program.

Sponsors committed to the event were recognised with framed Barnstorming Bundaberg
posters personally signed by Matt. The ongoing support of Wide Bay Australia Ltd as the
major sponsor was confirmed.

“Without Wide Bay Australia Ltd we would not have an event. Their ongoing
commitment to this event is integral to its success” said Mr Tuffield.

Mr Hancock AM, Wide Bay Australia Ltd said "This is our fourth sponsorship of the
Airshow. As a local company we are delighted to lend our support to make this event
occur and we urge other community and business organisations to provide their support to
further develop and grow this major event".

The 2011 Wide Bay Australia International Airshow rediscovers the performance of days gone by. Come and be entertained – 19th – 21st August 2011. You won’t be disappointed!
