Press Release from Reno Air Race Association regarding the crash at Stead the afternoon of September 6.

  • Pilot dies in crash at Reno-Stead airport while practicing for air races - KRNV
    • Thirty-two-year old Erica Simpson from Phillipsburg, New Jersey was preparing for the National Championship Air Races when her formula one plane called "Little Lynn" crashed around 9 a.m. Simpson was preparing for her second appearance the in air races. In 2006 she competed as a member of the biplane class.
