Video: Aerobatic fun in an Extra 300 for the World Aerobatics Championships from Flight International by Stuart
Last week I visited the home of racing Silverstone, to take part in a once in a lifetime opportunity - an aerobatics session with expert aviation instructors Ultimate High. This was in aid of the World Aerobatics Championships, a biennial event that next year will be held in England. I think the video neatly captures my excitement and gradual fear as my instructor takes me through various aerobatic manoeuvres, but notice how my face gradually gets paler and I get quieter as the tricks start to get bigger.

Aero-News: Quote of the Day (09.25.08) from Aero-News Network
"The first five seconds will probably define whether he is going to make it or not. The biggest challenge for him is to get into a stable flying configuration once he has left the plane." Source: Markus Zipperer, an engineer with Germany's JetCat, which helped manufacture the jet-powered mono-wing that adventurer Yves Rossy will use Thursday morning at 0800 EDT for his attempt to fly across the English Channel.
