B-25s will Mark the Final Toast of Doolittle Raiders


B-25s are coming!  B-25s are coming!  If Paul Revere were alive today that might be the message.   Grimes Field in Urbana once again is honored to be a part of Doolittle Raiders History.  November 8-9-10 there will be six B25s landing in Urbana.  Larry Kelley owner of the B-25 Panchito said “The Raiders have completed their final reunion bringing an end to probably the greatest tradition in the USAF.    The Raiders have decided to gather one last time as a group, to open the famous bottle of 1896 Cognac that was set aside by Jimmy Doolittle, and drink their final toast “To those that have gone”
These six B-25 crews will fly a Missing Man formation flight over the National Museum of the United States Air Force during an outdoor Memorial Ceremony honoring the Doolittle Raiders.    "It is an honor to have been a part of past celebrations and again for this final gathering. "  "This may very well be the last large gathering of B-25s to be seen in one location” said Kelley.
The B-25’s will begin to arrive Friday (weather permitting) and three will offer Rides to the public Friday afternoon through Sunday morning.    Rides will be available Friday afternoon, Saturday Morning until 10:30am, 2:00- 4:00pm, and again Sunday Morning.  The flight of B-25’s will take off for their historic mission around 12:15pm Saturday.
You possibly will never see this many B 25s together again!  If you missed your chance for a B-25 ride at a Doolittle Raiders event, and have regretted it, this will be your last opportunity!  Cost again will be $425 donations. , no gate admissions will be charged.  No advance Reservations.  Come relive the past and explore our preservation of history at the Champaign Aviation Museum   1652 N. Main St Urbana, Ohio at Historic Grimes Field.
