Come to AirVenture, The Show Will Go On from EAA - The Experimental Aircraft Association
Preparations for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2010 continue at a brisk pace, despite the rain the Oshkosh area has experienced in the past week. People and planes are still coming, and EAA is welcoming all, though some may find themselves temporarily displaced to alternate locations until convention grounds dry.

Rain Soaked Oshkosh Turns Away Fly-In Visitors from Business Aviation Now
Tune in Oshkosh ATIS on 125.9 and you'll quickly find out if, or when, you can land at EAA AirVenture 2010 this year. We arrived at Wittman Field in a Beech Bonanza on Saturday, July 24th, ATIS said the field was CLOSED to all GA aircraft, unless pilots had obtained prior permission to park on one of the few paved areas at the airport. All the grass parking areas were closed due to rain saturation. ...

Worldwide premiere of 'Pearl' at Oshkosh from General Aviation News
It's not often that Hollywood takes a back seat when it comes to a movie premiere, but that's exactly what will happen this year at AirVenture, slated for July 26-Aug, 1, in Oshkosh, when a major motion picture, "Pearl," will debut.
"Pearl" is the true story of a Chickasaw Indian teen who discovers her dream life as a barnstormer and aviator in the late 1920s. Introduced to flying by legendary aviator Wiley Post, Pearl Carter, at age 13, became the youngest licensed pilot in the United States. Pearl flew her blind businessman father around the state of Oklahoma in her Curtiss Robin and became a well-known barnstormer and performed at countless air shows. ...

'Wings over Baker' air show returns to Baker City, Oregon (Includes interview and first-hand account) from www.digitaljournal.com
After a year on hiatus, the 'Wings over Baker' air show returned this year to give a stellar performance. As everyone expected, there was no disappointment.
Although Baker County hosts multiple events during the summer, 'Wings over Baker' is especially unique for obvious reasons. For some rural communities, seeing an air show may require one to head off to a bigger city, spending travel time and gas money in the process. Thanks to 30-year flying veteran Mel Cross, folks in these parts get an air show of the their own!
