Wing walker: pilot realizes dream outside cockpit - Neosho Daily News
A Neosho female pilot always dreamed about walking on the wings of a plane.
And now, the dream has become reality.
“I did my first wing walk in April of last year,” said pilot Amanda Franklin. “I have always wanted to, my entire life,  to wing walk. My dad (Bobby Younkin) was an air show pilot for many years and I always wanted to and begged him to let me. And he said, ‘first of all, my airplane will not handle a wing walker, and second of all, no way in (heck) I am going to let you do that.’ ...

Eighth Air Force Museum pays tribute to airmen’s bravery - Columbia Daily Tribune
If I sound enthusiastic about the exhibits at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum near Savannah, Ga., it’s because I am. Having been a teenager during World War II, I discovered the museum was full of stuff I knew and full of stuff I didn’t. The exhibits show the heroism of the men who flew up in the air knowing the risk. When the United States entered World War II in 1941 and began sending bombers over Europe, one out three of airmen were killed and one out of three were shot down and captured. ...

CoolPix - Modern Military: The Ferocious A-10 Warthog by Martt
The video I posted a couple days ago with a fabulous and rather large A-10 RC model powered by 2 small turbine engines really got me fired up (again) on the A-10 Thunderbolt ll (Warthog), so I went looking for a pic to make into a CoolPix.  This one seemed to capture the essence of Farchild’s tank killer pretty well, especially since the big cannon in the nose is hard to miss.
