Aviation Nation 2009 – Picture(s) A Day – 14 November 2009 by Parrothead Jeff
I can think of a few Jimmy Buffett songs that would fit my condition right now, but I'll just quote him about it for now – "It's my own damn fault!" :P
Today was round 1 of my time at Aviation Nation 2009. This has been a superb airshow all around :D Between the quality static displays and the awesome aerial acts, I'd say this is one of the best airshows I've ever been to. And considering I've been to something like 15 days at Nellis, 40+ days at Miramar, quite a few trips to El Centro, and a few others, I'd say I might just be qualified to speak on the subject
My photographic equipment for today consisted of my ...

#DXB:09 Watch F-22 flying display at Dubai (videos) - The DEW Line
The US Air Force showed off the always crowd-pleasing Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor in the 2:58 pm slot at the Dubai Air Show today. There are a few moments, especially in the first minute, when I lost track of the aircraft, but bear with me. I don't think I missed any of big shots, like the F-22's famous J-turn, for example. Please enjoy.

Gulf Ambition: Dubai Air Show 2009 Preview (#DXB09) - FlightBlogger - Aviation News,
It feels like just yesterday I was arriving in Dubai for my first day of work with Flight. Two years around the horn and I'm back for another go at the Dubai Air Show. Needless to say, the world (and this city) has changed much in the past two years. The 2007 show saw a staggering number of orders as backlogs exploded, pushing Airbus and Boeing towards record bookings.
Late 2007 saw mega orders for Boeing and Airbus by Emirates and DAE, while Bombardier selected the Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan for CSeries, 787 first flight was scheduled for February 2008, United and Delta were in merger talks, 747-8F roll-out had slid and just one A380 had been delivered to Singapore Airlines. ...
