Mike Keenum & 'RMike iff Raff' 

mikekMike Keenum, a life-long resident of the Chicago area, began his career in the USAF.  Serving as a crew chief on the F105 Thunder Chief in Southeast Asia and on the F106 Delta Dart in the United States.  After the military, and upon receiving a B.S. degree in physical therapy, Mike established an outpatient physical therapy company with multiple clinics throughout the Chicagoland area.

 

Earning his pilot's license in 1984, Mike has owned and operated a number of business aircraft to include; Beech Bonanza, Beech Baron, King Air C90, 300, and 350, Beech Starship, Beech Premier, Hughes 500 and an Enstrom 480 B.

 

In addition to a high performance solo aerobatic routine performed in the Hawker Sea Fury on the airshow circuit today, Mike and 'Riff Raff' (as the Sea Fury is affectionately known as in the world of unlimited air racing) have been a part of the National Championship Air Races for the last ten years.  Assisted with pilot duties while in Reno, by former NASA Shuttle Astronaut Robert 'Hoot' Gibson, the Sea Fury has finished in the gold for the last four years, and has taken fourth place in the last two.

 

Mike is past president and Vice President of Lifeline Pilots, a charitable flying organization providing free transportation to patients in need, for whom he has flown over 40,000 miles.

 

Selling his business in 2007, Mike now owns and operates a 250 acre farm where he resides with his wife in Michigan.
