Smithsonian Features LiveAirShowTV’s “FIFI” video

PFLUGERVILLE, TX – MARCH 24, 2010  Once again LiveAirShowTV has teamed with the Smithsonian Air & Space Magazine website to feature the story on the Commemorative Air Force’s B-29 “FIFI”.  “This is the second time the editors at Air & Space have asked us to give them the exclusive opportunity to post one of our stories,” said Jeff Lee, LiveAirShowTV President.  “They previously ran our 2009 Reno Air Races wrap-up video following our live broadcast of the Sunday Finals.  When I told them we were working on this story, they asked if they could feature it on their site.  We jumped at the chance to work with them again.”

The story expands on the LiveAirShowTV coverage from the CAF’s 2010 AIRSHO in Midland, Texas.  This was the first public flight for the newly restore B-29, making it the only flying B-29 in the world.  Crew Chief Dave Miller takes us through the history of the plane and its restoration.  We also talked with Charles Chauncey who actually flew B-29’s in the Pacific in World War II.

To view the video, go to: www.airspacemag.com and scroll down to “Air & Space Videos”.

“FIFI” will be touring this air show season with country music star Aaron Tippin on the “Red, White & Loud” tour.  Watch for tour dates and go see this great plane.

All of the other stories LiveAirShowTV has covered are archived on the LASTV home page at: www.LiveAirShowTV.com.  There you will also see details about our “Naval Aviation’s Top 10” contest.  Make sure you make a nomination before the end of April.  Prize details will be announced very soon.

As the 2011 air show season gets started, LiveAirShowTV will continue to be “Your Eyes and Ears of Aviation, Today”.
