My new friend, P-51 Pilot Burt Newmark, told me about a friend he had who flew for the Luftwaffe during WWII so after some looking, I found Wilhelm Kriessmann. Emergency Landing Due to Propeller Break from Alabama Aviator - Aviation News
Fort Wayne, IN- The two men encountered a real emergency when a propeller on the single-engine plane they were riding in broke off, requiring an emergency landing in a Kosciusko County bean field. The two had left Reid-Eash Airport, 425 East 400 North, in Howe, and planned to land at Goshen Air Center. Before takeoff, the aircraft was inspected and appeared to be in proper working order. The purpose of the flight was a biennial flight review.
