Airshow 'Yap' from AirshowEuro by WireFox
Heard via Deb of ASB staff, that Ed Shipley will be doing the 'Horseman' demo with the demo team bringing on of their own Mustang flying along side 'Miss Velma' and maybe a 'surprise', of which we await with 'fingers-crossed'. No news on 'GG' P-38 Lightning doing the 'Hop' over the pond, but its early days yet still. With luck it will happen, however AirshowEuro is hoping to 'Bump' into 'Flying Bulls' P-38 Lightning somewhere in Europe this year. Don't think it will be at Legends but you never know these days, after all we had an F-15 starting the show in 2007 along side
the TFC P-39 and TF-51 if I remember right.

Amelia Earhart from AeroHub by admin
(Some notes from mikefeeney@actrix.co.nz )
Zillions of words have been written about Amelia and Fred's last flight; much of it rather 'imaginative', to put it delicately.(I do not tell a porky when I say that I found a 'Star Trek" site that said that they had been abducted from the cockpit by some aliens.) I do not wish to add too much to the story, but an aircraft engineer who used to be with Air Nuigini, has a theory which is explained below. I noted some aspects of David's views which I suspect could do with some examination. If anyone knows where he currently is, would you mind giving him my regards and forwarding this on?
Below is an article from a recent issue of Papua New Guinea's "The National" newspaper. The 'Wings over Kansas' link further down within the text is well worth opening but is a lengthy read.
Whilst I have a very open mind, my feeling is still that Amelia and Fred got to somewhere far east out into the Pacific and in the general vicinity of tiny Howland Island (2,000 by 600 metres) and either ran out of fuel searching along a sun-line for Howland Island, or force-landed/ditched somewhere in the region; probably back in the Gilberts. ...
