Event to benefit program for children with cerebral palsy Noblesville Daily Times, IN
A Pancake Breakfast Fly-in and Drive In will be 8 to 11 a.m. May 3 at Indianapolis Executive Airport in Zionsville. Proceeds of the breakfast will benefit the not-for-profit Jackson Center for Conductive Education, a program that teaches independence skills to children with cerebral palsy. The only conductive education program in Indiana, the Jackson Center serves children from throughout central Indiana, including Boone, Hamilton, Marion, Morgan, Hendricks, Shelby and Tippecanoe counties. Conductive education is taught in a group environment that builds self esteem and encourages children to find their own solutions to challenges of movement. The Jackson Center is one of only 30 conductive education programs in the United States. To learn more about the Jackson Center, go to www.thejacksoncenter.org. The family event features static aircraft displays, remote controlled planes and equipment displays by the Westfield and Zionsville Fire Departments. There will be face painting, a silent auction and door prizes donated by local merchants. Donations will be accepted for the pancakes and sausage served by the Commemorative Air Force. Private airplane rides are $10 a person and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
