LiveAirShowTV Posts Part 2 of the Reno Air Races Overview

OCTOBER 5, 2010 – PFLUGERVILLE, TX – LiveAirShowTV announces Part 2 of the 2010 Reno Air Races Overview video. It is now posted on our YouTube channel: www.YouTube.com/user/LiveAirShowTV. This is an expanded look at what happened on Saturday and Sunday of race week. There are several interviews that you will only see at LiveAirShowTV. Find out what Patty Wagstaff is doing now. Hear about Clay Lacy’s first trip to the Reno Air Races in 1964, as well as several of the racers just minutes after they landed.

“We were in the right places this year to get the story from the key players at Reno, said LiveAirShowTV President Jeff Lee. “Our team really worked to get in position for the best coverage at Stead Field.”

“The most terrifying moment was when Super Sport pilot George Giboney called a mayday and headed for runway 26, and straight at our camera position,” Lee continued. “We were standing at the back of the Jet class planes on the ramp, and George was coming down fast and pointed in our direction. Race fans may have seen a series of stills, or shaky video from the grandstands. We were about 100 yards from him and caught the entire incident.”

The Reno Air Racing Association has given us clearance to show the entire clip and fans will see it both in real time, and slow-motion. In addition to the definitive video of the mishap, we have the only broadcast interview with George Giboney after being released from the medical facility inside the Thunder Mustang Hangar. Chief Warrant Officer 2 Bryan Lee, son of Jeff Lee, showed the clip to George on our camera and he was amazed at how it happened. He told Bryan that everyone should see this clip to see how the airframe did its job.

LiveAirShowTV continues to break ground with air show coverage. Air show fans are watching our stories and are learning that when they want the real story, there is only one place to go and that’s LiveAirShowTV!

Watch for more stories from the Reno Air Races, Smokey Young’s historic speed record, the Colorado Sport International Air Show, go inside a UH-60 Blackhawk simulator at Fort Hood, TX, and see the CAF’s B-29 “FiFi” fly in an air show for the first time in years. Those stories and more will posted in the coming weeks.

Be sure to follow us on Twitter (@LiveAirShowTV), our Facebook Fan Page, the Indy Transponder, our YouTube Channel, and watch for the all new LiveAirShowTV.com coming very soon for complete air show coverage throughout the year.

Sun-n-Fun Falloff. from Planenews Aviation News Portal
It’s interesting to read the comments of Sun ’n Fun’s president, John Burton, regarding this year’s attendance at the Fly-In. Attendance is thought to have been down about 5 percent to 6 percent from the previous year, and this is blamed on fuel prices, weather and the economy. Granted all those issues did have an effect this year...
