Vimy's Final Flight - Flightline UK
The Vickers Vimy replica made it's final flight into Brooklands on November 15th 2009. The aircraft had been stored at Dunsfold Aerodrome prior to it's last flight. A special grass runway was laid out at Brooklands to allow the aircraft to land there. It will be placed on show at Brooklands Museum where it will be the star of a specially themed day on November 21st.

ICAS Convention 2009 - Airplanes.com
The ICAS Convention, or International Council of Air Shows, was inaugurated in 1967, and each year, show professionals get together at the convention to network amongst each other, plan upcoming air shows and to bounce new ideas off one another. It is expected that over 1 500 community member of the aviation industry will be in attendance, and will feature educational sessions, private concerts, workshops and banquets. The exhibition hall will offer thousands of air show related products and stands.

Flt Lt Moore is a local Lincolnshire girl, from Stamford, last station was RAF Marham in Norfolk,near Kings Lynn.,joining the Royal Air Force in 1998. Raf Scampton is situated just north of Lincoln on the A15.It is believed she will take up position RED THREE.
Her father Robbie is a retired Tornado navigator,she has been married for 4 years to husband Nicky who works as a flying instructor at Raf Valley,anglesey, Wales.
The squadron motto is Eclat-meaning Excellence. Red Arrows was formed in late 1964. The name is an amalgation of 2 aerobatic teams-the Black Arrows and the Red Pelicans. The RAFAT has 13 aircraft., 9 pilots,and a Support team of 91 called The Blues(they wear blue flying suits).

Doolittle Tokyo Raiders planning reunion and historical aviation event at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force - National Museum of the USAF Top Stories
The Doolittle Tokyo Raiders are in the final stages of planning their 68th reunion at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, April 16-18.
The reunion will include a free public autograph session, educational event and memorial service at the museum, as well as a dinner (for a charge). In addition, a free public concert honoring the Raiders will take place at Wright State University's Nutter Center.
Of the nine living Doolittle Tokyo Raiders, five are currently able to travel and plan to be on-hand for the reunion events.

AOPA, MTSU partner to grow aviation - General Aviation News

WWII-era plane makes emergency landing - Air Force Times
BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A fighter plane from the World War II-era flying over Whatcom County for Veterans Day safely made an emergency landing at Bellingham International Airport after smoke filled the cockpit.The P-51 Mustang was doing flyover as part of an event at the Heritage Flight Museum and was preparing to land when a resistor in the cockpit overheated, says Greg Anders, the pilot and the museum's executive director.Anders tells The Bellingham Herald that smoke started coming from the resistor cover so he shut down the electrical system and made the emergency landing. Aside from the burned cover, the plane had no damage.Anders says the plane will remain grounded until it's determined what caused the resistor to overheat.

Registration now open for Korean War 60th Anniversary activities at National Museum of the U.S. Air Force - National Museum of the USAF
The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force wants to make sure veterans who served in the "Forgotten War" are remembered and honored throughout 2010. The museum has partnered with other organizations in the Dayton area to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Korean War with special events and the opening of the museum's renovated Korean War exhibit area.
Korean War veteran groups as well as individual veterans and their families can register now for the following events:
