Reno Air Races Likely To Continue in 2012 - My News 4 | For months, there have been questions about whether the Reno Air Races would continue in 2012. Now, we have the answer. CEO Mike Houghton says it is his objective to have a full event next year. He says there is some work left to be done to make sure they can get the necessary permits to have the 2012 air races, but they are going to work to make that happen.... This one is perhaps unique, showing us life on board a Consolidated PBY Catalina while she and her crew are on patrol. Hardly any of us have been allowed into the aircraft we like to read about and see, even less into an aircraft while it is earning its keep.  Seeing how the crew would have been stationed in this Catalina gives an unusual, even rare, look into service life while in patrol in the 1940s.
