Indianapolis Air Show | The Executive Committee of the Indianapolis Air Show has decided not to produce an event in 2014 and thereafter. We appreciate the support the Air Show has received over the past 16 years however current circumstances indicate that it is impracticable to produce future Air Shows.

Aviation Hall of Fame to honor CAP's Blackman - Headline News - Civil Air Patrol | RHODE ISLAND -- The Rhode Island Aviation Hall of Fame will induct five new members at its annual dinner in Cranston on Nov. 8. The five inductees (all deceased) include Lt. Col. Richard Warren Blackman, who made a major contribution to aviation in Rhode Island through his lengthy service with Civil Air Patrol. Blackman, who died earlier this year, joined the 102nd Composite Squadron of CAP’s Rhode Island Wing, and by 1980 he was heavily involved in Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency training, search and rescue missions and radio communications monitoring. Blackman often served as mission commander on the wing’s many search and rescue missions in the 1980s and ’90s – most notably the search for John F. Kennedy Jr.’s downed aircraft.
