Summarizing some of our day on site:
The presentation by Jack Roush and C.E. Bud Anderson early this afternoon was intriguing.  Hearing Col. Anderson's stories from his time in service was inspiring, and humbling.  We owe a debt to the men and women that helped us win WWII -  a debt we can only pay by pursuing our happiness to the fullest.  Col. Anderson reminded us of friends he lost that gave the privilege to do so.

The Tuskagee Airmen continue to inspire. We visited the Red Tail Squadron exhibit this afternoon and were privileged to see two Tuskegee airmen while there.  The film is incredibly well done, and not only makes one continue to stand in awe of these incredible airmen and all they went through; but it also touches on the sacrifices of those that were involved in the rebuilding, and subsequent resurrection of the Red Tail Mustang.   A must see for anyone at AirVenture this year!

Today was ultimately about Bob Hoover (from my perspective).  We caught his presentation in the Warbird area in the morning, saw the Bob Hoover tribute at the end of the air show, and then watched as R.A. "Bob" Hoover was presented the Freedom of Flight award by Rod Hightower during the evening's activities in the Theater in the Woods.  (I think everyone on the grounds showed up for this, here's a picture we found via Twitter). After the presentation, David Hartman hosted an interview.  Bob is not only a remarkable pilot, but he has an incredible sense of humor and his patriotism bubbles through everything he speaks about.  My favorite quote from the evening was when Mr. Hoover was speaking about bailing out of the F-101 during flat spin testing.  He said he tried everything and bailed when he "ran out of guts, altitude and know how all at once!"

Another great day at AirVenture!
