Renauld and his family were flying a Jodel DR-1050. Aircraft wreckage was found on Monday to the  northwest of the city of Lodève after the aircraft went missing at 1730 GMT on Sunday evening when air traffic controllers at Montpellier lost contact with it.

The Boeing Stearman B75N1 biplane crashed at Reagan National Airport. The two-seater touched down the runway and briefly rolled before nosing over. Both pilot and reporter onboard were uninjured. The accident bent and curled two of the propeller's blades, and it damaged the plane's tail, rudder, vertical stabilizer, right wing and part of the engine. The plane was part of an aerial demonstration to promote ;quot;Legends of Flight;quot;, a movie making its debut in Washington.
