Performer Feature

Jim 'Fang' Maroney

and the

DeHavilland Super Chipmunk

FangWith a distinguished military career, having flown the top fighters of both the Air Force and Navy, to include being rated 'Top Gun' at Miramar in 1983, and flying combat patrol over Washington D.C., following 911, to his accomplishments and commitment as a commerical pilot and airshow performer, Jim Maroney truly exemplifies dedication to aviation as a professional and as an American.

Flying the DeHavilland Super Chipmunk, one of the classic aircraft of all times, Jim's performance is an aggressive display featuring tumbling lomcevaks and the always impressive 'Waldo Pepper' Loop. A unique aircraft, an 'edge of your seat' routine, and the multi-faceted talent of Jim Maroney, make the Super  Chipmunk a 'must see' performance.

Taking his first flight in a Piper Cub at the age of four with his father, Jim has been flying aerobatics for over 27 years.

Now retired from the military and currently a Captain/Check Airman for a major airline, Jim resides in Brookfield, Wisconsin, with his wife Susan, a Microbiology Research Scientist.
