South West Council of Air Shows (SWCAS) Conference, February 7th & 8th, Sheraton Grand Hotel, Sacramento, California | The SWCAS Conference will begin with a session on “How well do you know the air show box?” on Friday, February 7, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the host hotel. Following this initial education session, delegates will participate in a networking session/cocktail reception from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.  Saturday’s agenda includes a full schedule of programming that begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. Topics to be covered include UAVs, Drones and Videocopters in the Air Show Environment; Pilot Safety Issues and an Update on Changes to the ACE Manual; Conducting an Air Show under Challenging Circumstances; Insurance Insights for Air Shows and Performers; and Air Show Marketing and Public Relations; with performer showcases throughout the day and a roundtable brainstorming session of creative ideas for air shows and air show performers. Paul Poberezny to Be Honored at Legends Event - EAA - The Experimental Aircraft Association | Paul Poberezny, EAA's founder who passed away last year, will receive special recognition during next week's 11th Annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards in Beverly Hills, California.
