Next Generation Of Goodyear Blimps Is Under Construction from Aero-News Network | Final Assembly Of The Airship Will Be Near Akron, OH Construction of the first of a new generation of Goodyear blimps is underway. Goodyear eventually plans to replace its entire fleet of iconic airships. The new Zeppelin LZ N07-101 airship, manufactured by Germany's ZLT Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik, will be assembled at Goodyear's Wingfoot Lake Hangar near Akron, Ohio.
