Enjoy Museum Day at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force

Museum Day, a special day promoted by Smithsonian magazine, is scheduled for Sept. 26. On this day, many museums are offering free admission. Although admission to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force is always free, it is celebrating the spirit of the day by encouraging people to visit.

In addition to touring the museum, visitors may also take part in a free event. The World War I Dawn Patrol Rendezvous, on the museum's back field, will feature vintage original and reproduction WWI aircraft, radio-controlled models, era automobiles, period re-enactors, a collector's show, hands-on educational activities and flight simulators.
