The Spirit of St. Louis Flies Again!

Only 12 Flights Available Through this Exclusive On-line Auction

The Lindbergh Foundation announced today that its third-annual on-line auction includes only one item — a ride in the Spirit of St. Louis — with up to 12 winners possible.  The EAA Spirit of St. Louis replica is making a rare appearance during the weekend of the Lindbergh Foundation's 2009 Lindbergh Award Celebration on May 15, 16, and 17 at the EAA AirVenture Pioneer Airport (or Weeks Hangar), exclusively for the winners of the Lindbergh Foundation's on-line auction. Click here for details.

The official start of the bidding process will be announced at a press conference on April 22 at Sun 'n Fun.  Sign up for the Lindbergh Foundation's Twitter feed to receive an immediate announcement for the start of bidding.   Don't miss out on this chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity.  This Spirit will not be flying again until 2011!

This year the Foundation will be honoring aviator/conservationists  Terry and Mary Kohler, of Windway Capital Corp., for their commitment to the care and protection of our environment. Among their many accomplishments the Kohlers used general aviation aircraft to transport the eggs of endangered bird species to expand their range, including a round-the-world flight over Russia to deliver Siberian crane eggs to Western Siberia in 1997. Also honored will be the world-recognized environmental leader Mr. Lester Brown, founder and president of the Earth Policy Institute.

Plus, EAA is offering airplane rides on May 16 & 17.
